Vahid Pouyan’s journey with music began at the age of 14, when he picked up the guitar, which would go on to become his primary instrument. Coming from an artistic family, this passion for music only grew stronger. At the age of 18, he discovered Paco de Lucía, the legendary Spanish guitarist, whom Pouyan deeply admired. Inspired by de Lucía, he decided to immerse himself in learning the Flamenco style. His first guitar instructor was Mohsen Abedini, and due to the lack of advanced educational resources in subsequent years, Pouyan dedicated himself to self-practice and improvement.

Start of Professional Career
Vahid Pouyan’s professional debut came in 2014 with the release of the song “To Azadi” (You Are Free), which he both composed and performed. In the following years, his talent for composition quickly gained recognition, and he produced numerous successful and enduring works for prominent Iranian artists. Among his most acclaimed compositions are the album Tajrobeh Kon (Experience It) in 2016 and Tasvir (Image) in 2017 for the renowned artist Shadmehr Aghili. According to polls conducted by Radio Javan and WikiSeda, the Tajrobeh Kon album was voted the best album of 2016.

Vahid Pouyan’s other notable collaborations include composing the hit songs “Shomal” (North) and “Khooneh Arezoo” (House of Dreams) for Master Moein, as well as his work with Aref, a famous Iranian singer, on the song “Sarzamin Madari” (Motherland). He has also worked with Ehsan Khajeh Amiri on the songs “Gharibeh” (Stranger) and “Tarkam Kard” (Left Me), as well as Mehdi Yarrahi on tracks like “Maghloob” (Defeated), “Bi Defa” (Defenseless), “Taghvin” (Suggestion), “Cheshm-e To” (Your Eyes), and “Nemishe Edame Dad” (It Can’t Continue). Additionally, Pouyan has collaborated with numerous other well-known Iranian artists, including Pouya, Sattar, Mehdi Yaghmaei, Ava Bahram, Babak Jahanbakhsh, Jamshid, Hengameh, Alireza Assar, Edwin, Mansour, Mahsa Navi, Reza Sadeghi, Mehdi Soltani, and many more.

Significant Achievements
One of Vahid Pouyan’s most important works is the release of his instrumental album Jahan Dar Dast-haye Man (The World in My Hands), which became available on major platforms such as Amazon and iTunes in October 2021. This album, consisting of six tracks in the nuevo flamenco style, is dedicated to Paco de Lucía, reflecting Pouyan’s deep admiration for the legendary guitarist. In Pouyan’s words, the purpose of this album was to continue nurturing the passion and devotion he has always held for Paco de Lucía.
