The first national All Saints’ Candle Lighting event in 2021 was our attempt to revive thevanishing culture of our commemoration of the dead by making it interactive for visitors ofcemeteries all throughout Hungary. During the first candle-lighting event the flames ofremembrance lit simultaneously in a multi-motif candle shape at 17 locations acrossHungary. The television loop enabled millions of viewers to participate in our association’sevent which was traditionalist yet innovative involving a light installation.
